By not compromising on the size of the radio, the overall chassis is only 70 millimetres deep, making the TX4800 possibly the smallest 25-Watt UHF/VHF Commercial Radio manufactured in Australia. Taking advantage of the large rear cooling fins, the design of the TX4800 allows it to dissipate the heat generated by the 25 Watt output power whilst providing a very rugged waterproof radio.
Like all GME Commercial radios, the TX4800 is designed and built in Australia and compliments the TX3600, TX3800 and TX7200. A striking feature of the TX4800 is the large backlit display clearly indicating the selected channel, signal strength and many other selected features. The illuminated push buttons allow you to customise the set up of the radio to suit your needs.
